History
Collins Builders, Inc. began as a collective effort of Bill and Palmer Collins back in 1959. With help from their father Jesse Collins, the company began working small projects that eventually grew larger in size and scope to major construction projects throughout Orange County, California. The company was founded on the premise that it will strive to provide quality construction services at honest prices, putting the needs of the customer first. This is a philosophy that still hold true at CBI to this day.
The 50’s, 60’s and 70’s were times of tremendous expansion for the building trade industry in Southern California. The need for residential housing was growing rapidly. The first of many multi-family residential development projects began to sprout up throughout the Southern California basin. CBI rose up to meet the needs of this growing market with a eye to provide quality construction services with a client first attitude. This approach to business has been the hallmark of CBI’s success for over 50 years. 
In 1985, Bill’s son Robert ‘Rob’ Collins became president of CBI. Rob immediately looked to expand the company into a full service general contracting service provider. One of the first areas of expansion was to begin working with Homeowners Associations and Property Managers on single and multi-unit residential projects. Today CBI is considered to be one of the premiere construction service providers in Southern California.
